Fred Chua

Chief Executive Officer

Fred Chua, an ECE Graduate from UP Diliman, is a serial technopreneur who founded Magellan Solutions, a 1300-seat Contact Center & BPO company back in 2005. He also founded My3D Concepts (3D2go) in 2014, an end-to-end 3D Scanning, Prototyping, Printing service provider for the consumer and corporate markets. His lastest venture is an Internet of Things (IOT) company called Silikon Technologies developing diversified solutions for monitoring and automation in different industries. He’s also an investor, director and board member of ESi Labs, a technology development and consulting company focused on IC Design, Verification and FPGA solutions.

Mark Dee

CEO at Magellan Solutions USA

Under the visionary leadership of Mark A. K. Dee, Chief Executive Officer, Magellan Solutions USA was launched as a consultancy and service provider with a primary focus on business process outsourcing, healthcare administrative support, IT development, energy solutions, and call center services. With an exceptional 21-year career in the United States Air Force (USAF), Mark held various management positions contributing to his extensive leadership expertise.

 

He excelled as the manager in his tenure in the USAF under the Immunology and Microbiology department and as Assistant Director of the Medical Laboratory, Facility, and Security Manager. Finally, he retired from the military in 2008 as Superintendent/COO of a 129-personnel medical support squadron.

 

After retiring from the military, Mark ventured into the service industry. He successfully led a restaurant chain as the CEO and developed other businesses in the martial arts studio and 3D printing industries, exhibiting his entrepreneurial spirit. Mark's educational achievements include a BS in Health Sciences and Hospital Administration, Master’s in Business Administration, Master’s of Science in Systems Management at Notre Dame de Namur University, Graduated from the Senior Executive Leadership School from the USAF, and Board Certified in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

Arby Simon

Chief Operating Officer

Arby is the Chief Operating Officer responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the organization, identifying areas to leverage cross-program strengths in order to take advantage of new opportunities and address organizational challenges. As COO, with his excellent leadership, leads, develops and retains the company’s high-performance senior management team while ensuring continued financial viability of the company’s operational units through sound fiscal management guided by the company's core values.

 

Arby earned his bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from De La Salle University and started his career with PwC Philippines as a financial auditor. He previously held leadership and management roles in IBM for more than 5 years and 10+ years in the BPO industry before joining Magellan as Implementations Manager. He became the Director of Implementations wherein his team successfully improved client retention thereby helping Magellan expand the business.

 

Along with his competencies in client management, project management, operations management, and strategic management, Arby is a visionary and a charismatic leader with a passionate heart.

Annamie Santiago

Chief Financial Officer

Annamie C. Santiago is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA). She completed her Regis MBA class at Ateneo Graduate School of Business and has 12 years work experience in internal auditing, particularly in the areas of financial, process, system and banking.

 

She currently heads the Accounting and Finance Department, reporting directly to the CEO. She is in-charge of the overall management of Accounting and Finance Department. Her major responsibilities include looking for investment opportunities to maximize profit; developing and streamlining of systems and processes in FAD; ensuring qualitative; quantitative assessment of the company’s financial performance; establishing leadership role in the organization; and upholding the mission and vision of Magellan Solutions.

Vernon Belgira

Chief Technology Officer

Vernon Belgira is a dynamic technology leader and a Licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer with 25 years of experience driving IT infrastructure, security, and innovation. He oversees the full technology lifecycle — from the selection and deployment of hardware, software, servers, and networks to the continuous enhancement of enterprise systems.

 

With a strong focus on aligning technology with business objectives, Vernon leads strategic initiatives, manages vendor partnerships, and ensures full compliance with IT policies, security standards, and data privacy regulations. He drives multiple technology projects with operational excellence, setting and monitoring key performance metrics (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).

 

Collaborating closely with executives, department heads, and system users, Vernon ensures IT operations deliver maximum value. He also champions disaster recovery and contingency planning to maintain business resilience. With a forward-thinking, results-driven mindset, Vernon Belgira consistently positions organizations to thrive in a digital-first world.

Rodel Carandang

Rodel is a transformation and process excellence leader with over 16 years of experience in the financial services industry. He holds an Executive MBA from the Asian Institute of Management and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Expert, ASEAN Engineer, and Professional Industrial Engineer (PIE). Rodel has successfully led major business transformation initiatives across the Philippines, Hong Kong, and China, driving operational efficiency, digital adoption, and customer experience improvements. He is passionate about building scalable, customer-centered operations that create lasting impact.

 

As Chief Process Officer, Rodel champions building scalable, efficient, and customer-centered operations. He believes that truly excellent processes not only drive results but also create better experiences for customers, employees, and partners. Outside of work, Rodel actively mentors young professionals, leads a discipleship group(Dgroup) during weekends, and supports charitable causes that uplift vulnerable communities.

Henry Parungao

Business Development Director

Henry serves as Business Development Director for Magellan Solutions, responsible for seeking out new business opportunities, developing and implementing plans designed to increase existing business with the overall objective of meeting long term company objectives. He has more than 15 years of international business development and client management experience. He has served as Regional Manager in different capacities like Business Development, Franchising, Support and Governance as well as Sr. Regional Manager for Emerging Markets covering the Middle East, South America and South East Asia. Henry earned his bachelor’s degree in the University of the Philippines, and has taken relevant courses in Management in International Business from Universitas 21 Global.

Henry Pingol

As a seasoned human resources expert with over 25 years of experience, HEP spearheads the Human Resources and Administration Departments. His extensive background encompasses the full spectrum of Human Resources Management, People Development, General Affairs, and Office Administration.

 

A Certified HR Professional (CHRP), HEP holds certificate and diploma in HR and HR Development from SHATEC. He graduated with a degree in BS Accountancy from New Era University, where he was a full university scholar.

Ruth De Guzman

As the current QA Director at Magellan Solutions, I bring over 15 years of extensive experience in the Quality Assurance field, strengthened by my background with some of the Philippines' largest call centers. I first joined Magellan Solutions in 2017, where I spent five enriching years before exploring new opportunities. Drawn back by the strong family culture that defines Magellan, I proudly rejoined the organization three years ago.

 

Today, I lead our Quality Assurance teams across three sites, championing operational excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction. As a Green Belt Six Sigma Certified professional, I am passionate about continuous improvement, process optimization, and delivering outstanding quality standards that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

 

Looking ahead, I am spearheading initiatives to make our QA Department AI-ready -- ensuring we perform our tasks more efficiently and effectively while creating even greater value to the clients we support. This initiative is fully aligned with Magellan Solutions' vision of leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, enhance service delivery, and reinforce our commitment to excellence.

Rossanna Guia Tadeo

Head of Implementations Department

I am a dedicated and results-driven professional with over 15 years of experience in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry. I started my career in 2007, initially specializing in technical campaigns, focusing on areas such as Tech Support, IT Helpdesk, and later expanding my expertise into US Recruitment. This solid foundation in both technical and customer-focused domains has been key to my growth and leadership in complex operational environments.

 

In 2019, I joined Magellan Business Outsourcing, where I quickly made an impact. I began my journey in operations as an agent and, through consistent excellence, advanced rapidly to the role of Cluster Head. In this role, I managed multiple lines of business (LOB) for a healthcare campaign, driving team performance and operational efficiencies while fostering strong relationships with clients.

 

In 2023, I transitioned to the Implementations Department as an Implementations Manager, where I applied my extensive experience in operations and client management to oversee the seamless onboarding and integration of new client projects. My leadership and strategic thinking earned me a promotion to Head of the Implementations Department in 2024. In my current role, I lead my team in delivering tailored solutions to clients, ensuring that every project meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

 

Outside of work, I am an avid learner, always exploring new hobbies and interests. I enjoy finding ways to enrich my personal life and keep my mind sharp. Travel is another passion of mine, as I believe exploring new places broadens one’s perspective and helps foster deeper connections with the world around us.

Hazel Gabriel

I began a career in the BPO industry in 2008 as an agent here in Magellan Solutions and has since built a strong track record of leadership and operational success. Progressing through key roles including Team Leader, Program Supervisor, Program Manager, and Site Lead and now serves as a Senior Site Lead.

 

With over 15 years of experience, I bring deep expertise in people management, performance optimization, and client engagement, consistently delivering results aligned with business goals.

 

As Senior Site Lead, I oversee overall site operations, ensuring service delivery excellence, team performance, and compliance with client standards. I lead cross-functional teams, manage KPIs, and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, employee engagement, and client satisfaction.

 

Outside of work, I’m a proud mother, self entitled singer and a good baker.

Piter Afable

Piter Afable is a passionate and experienced leader with over a decade of expertise in Operations Management, Project Management, People Management, and Client Management. As a Senior Site Lead, he thrives on creating efficient, results-driven operations while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture. His role is more than just managing day-to-day tasks—he ensures his team feels empowered, supported, and motivated to achieve their best work.

 

Continuous learning is at the core of Piter’s professional journey. He has completed extensive training and certifications, including Business Intelligence with Power BI End-to-End Solution, MO 200 Certification Training, Executive Diploma in Operations Management, Six Sigma Yellow Belt Professional Certificate, and a Certificate of completion in Microsoft Productivity Tools. With a data-driven mindset and a talent for strategic problem-solving, he helps businesses optimize processes and drive innovation.
