Magellan Solutions, a leading business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions provider, proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary on September 20, 2025. Since its founding in 2005, the company has made a significant impact in the BPO industry by providing best-in-class outsourced solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To mark this milestone, Magellan Solutions hosted a grand celebration titled The Magellan Ball at the prestigious Marquis Events Place, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Michael Jirro Escobio and Dave Galgana hosted the event.
Brief Company History and Key Milestones in 20 Years
Founded in 2005 by Frederick D. Chua, Magellan Solutions started as a small, startup BPO company in West Greenhills, San Juan, with 14 agents and one team leader. By 2007, the company had experienced tremendous growth, with 400 full-time employees and a portfolio of 15 clients.
Some key milestones of Magellan Solutions in 20 years include:
- 2010: Started operations at Mezzanine, Summit One Tower, Mandaluyong City
- 2012: Achieved ISO 27001 certification. Occupied the 33rd floor of Summit One Tower as capacity expanded to around 1,000 seats

- 2020: Implemented work-from-home setup, shuttle service, and Staff House in Mandaluyong City as part of the company’s COVID-19 strategy

Opening Remarks from the CEO
The event began with some inspirational words from Frederick D. Chua, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Magellan Solutions himself. He shared the humble beginnings of Magellan Solutions, which involved operating out of a house office that accommodated around 70 to 80 people. As the company grew steadily over the years, many companies became interested in acquiring Magellan Solutions, but these attempts never materialized. CEO Fred Chua has always been steadfast in realizing the dream of making Magellan Solutions the best locally-owned BPO company in the Philippines.
The CEO cited two meaningful quotes from legendary figures. The first quote was from the 26th President of the United States of America, Theodore Roosevelt, who said, “Nothing worth having comes easy.” The second quote was from the late Chairman Emeritus of Tata Group, Ratan Tata, who said, “Slow success builds character. Fast success builds ego.” Both quotes aimed to drive home the point that Magellan Solutions is like fine wine, which improves with age. “We may not be growing as quickly yet, but we’re in the right direction. We are setting the right foundation for success. We are destined to be a great company,” said Chua.
